Hemnall Social Club was formed in 1894 as the Epping Literary & Mechanics Institute, and was based in a building in the William Cottis & Sons Iron Foundry in what is now Bakers Lane. The current building was opened in 1908, and in 1967 the name was changed to The Hemnall Social Club.
The club provides a valuable social hub for the local community hosting many social events during the year. It has three full size snooker tables, free pool, darts, live entertainment, large screen TV which hosts TNT Sports. Members enjoy competitive bar prices. Come and view our cabinet display chronicling the history of Epping and inhabitants during the war.
The club is host to The Music Den which is a monthly music event for lovers of the best in live music. Acclaimed singers and musicians perform blues, folk, rock or roots. So why not come along and get those feet tapping.

Entrance to the club is via Hemnall Street. There is access control on the main door. If you do not have a pass press the intercom button for admittance.
